“Not signed it yet”- Manager Carlos Rodriguez confirms that Joaquin Niemann is all set to join LIV Golf
A few days ago, it was announced that Joaquin Niemann would be joining LIV Golf. Now, according to his manager Carlos Rodriguez, the 23-year-old has joined the Saudi-backed tournament and will play at the end of the week in Boston.
Niemann’s management told the Associated Press that the Chilean is “going but has not yet signed the contract.” As of this writing, he is the top-ranked under-25 player in the world. In addition, he attended the PGA Tour’s Players Meeting at the BMW Championship, where Commissioner Jay Monahan revealed a number of extraordinary changes a week later.

All set to join LIV Golf
According to The Telegraph, Niemann will also earn a nine-figure signing bonus from LIV, with insiders reporting a check in excess of $100 million. Because of this change, Presidents Cup International Team captain Trevor Immelman, who has already described LIV Golf as “a gigantic pain in my a**, will have even another headache.” In September, Niemann automatically qualified for the Presidents Cup International team.

Due to the transfer, he will not be able to participate in the team tournament, as LIV golfers are prohibited from competing. Niemann joins his GSE Worldwide-managed LIV colleagues for the upcoming fourth LIV Golf event, which begins on September 2. The remaining field has yet to be determined. Sergio Garcia, Bryson DeChambeau, Abraham Ancer, Louis Oosthuizen, Carlos Ortiz, Paul Casey, Branden Grace, Jason Kokrak, and Eugenio Chacarra are among these players.
Moving to LIV Golf will also result in Niemann’s suspension from the PGA Tour since Jay Monahan stated in a letter that LIV Golf players are “suspended or otherwise ineligible to participate” in PGA Tour tournaments.

The statement continued by stating- “These athletes have taken their decision based on financial considerations. However, they are not entitled to the same PGA Tour membership privileges, considerations, chances, and platforms as you. This expectation shows contempt for you, our followers, and our partners.”
